Un autre artiste, né en Angleterre mais d’origine ghanéenne, a remporté un prix dans la catégorie Best International Act (UK), il s’agit de Wretch 32.
Les BET Awards avaient lieux au Shrine Auditorium de Los Angeles, c’est la plus grande cérémonie qui récompense la « black music ».
